History of church

St. Raphael’s Catholic Church New Magaimai was established on 9 February 2004. The Church was started with the leadership and help of Mr. Michael TC. It was blessed and inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Varghese Mechery SDB, the then Parish Priest. On 21 May 2005, the Church staff members for the tenure 2003-2006 were put in place as follows:
