A Message from the Parish Priest
Dear beloved parishioners, friends, and visitors,
Peace and blessings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and our Blessed Mother Mary.
Welcome to the digital home of St. John Bosco Parish, Maram—a place where faith becomes family, and grace flows through every prayer, procession, and act of service. Whether you are a long-time member or a first-time visitor, know that you are deeply cherished and called by God to journey with us in holiness, healing, and hope.
This Jubilee Year is a sacred invitation to walk together in gratitude, humility, and Marian devotion. Through our Rosary Processions, Eucharistic celebrations, and community outreach, we seek not only to honor our past but to renew our hearts for the future. Let us continue to build a parish where every soul finds welcome, every wound finds healing, and every voice joins in praise.
As your parish priest, I remain committed to serving you with love, transparency, and joyful sacrifice. I thank each of you—from our elders to our youth—for your prayers, your presence, and your generous contributions to our parish life. May we grow ever more united in Christ, guided by the example of St. John Bosco and the tender intercession of Our Lady.
Please explore this website for updates, reflections, and resources. And never hesitate to reach out—whether for spiritual support, practical needs, or simply to share your story.
With heartfelt blessings,
Fr. P. Suresh Innocent

History
The History of St. John Bosco Parish, Maram
In 1956, Rev. Fr. Peter Bianchi first visited Maram Khullen with a vision to establish a school at Sangkizang. However, the then Chief of Maram, Sagong Taruba, suggested relocating to Bailangpou (Maram Centre) instead. This led to the migration of a devoted group, determined to build a Catholic village and an educational hub.
With the tireless efforts of the Fathers and the religious, the parish was formally established in 1990. This milestone also saw the merging of St. Joseph Church with the newly founded Parish Church.
